Analyst

Definition: An analyst is a person who works for a stock broker or investment bank and spends their time analyzing specific stocks. In many cases, an analyst is assigned to a single industry. Using the information they gather, they are required to make buy, sell, or hold recommendations that are used by portfolio managers and private investors.
