Berkshire Hathaway 2006 Shareholder Meeting

The Doors Open

At exactly 7:00 a.m., the doors to the Qwest Center were opened. Shareholders, young and old, ran as quickly as they could manage while the event staff continued to yell, "Slow Down!". Unfortunately, my best friend and I were separated; I looked over my shoulder and decided to continue making a run for it - we could meet up later once our seats were secure.

I ran through the building, up the stairs (the escalator was moving too slowly for my taste), through the second floor, and into section 125. After selecting two aisle seats a few rows from the front, my phone rang; it was my friend, who was now only up the aisle. We sat, and began the hour-and-a-half wait for the Berkshire Hathaway movie to begin. I jumped up (my seat now saved), and went to grab water, coffee, orange juice, and cinnamon rolls for the remainder of the morning.
