The afternoon of the meeting, Nebraska Furniture Mart hosted a huge BBQ for shareholders while they shop using a shareholder discount that provides huge savings (a $3,500 television can be as low as $2,100, for example). It is estimated that during the three-day weekend, Berkshire stockholders will spend more than $30 million at NFM. The store features over 450,000 square feet of selling feet and has annual revenues of over $360 million.
